Company Description Infinity Quality Services (IQS) is a leading India-based provider of Inspection and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) services, supporting clients across major industrial sectors. Technicians and instructors are certified to SNT-TC-1A requirements by the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT), ensuring adherence to recognized international standards. Services and training are offered either at client premises or in IQS classrooms, providing flexibility for organizations and their employees. IQS works on castings, forgings, welds, equipment, and components across industries such as automotive, marine, and general engineering.

Role Description The Nondestructive Testing Engineer will perform and witness a range of NDE activities, including visual, magnetic particle, and penetrant inspections on components and equipment. This full-time, on-site role in Panihati involves planning and executing inspection jobs, interpreting results, preparing detailed reports, and supporting quality control and root-cause analysis when issues are identified.

The engineer will collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and client representatives to ensure inspections meet applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.



Daily tasks include equipment setup and calibration, monitoring test parameters, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of inspection procedures. The role may also involve supporting training activities, assisting with procedure development, and ensuring secure working practices during all inspection operations.

Qualifications

- Candidate should possess strong NDT skills, including visual & magnetic particle testing, with hands-on experience in industrial inspection environments.
- Candidate should possess inspection and quality control skills, including experience in visual inspection, documentation, and compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Candidate should possess a solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to understand drawings, materials, manufacturing processes, and failure modes.
- Relevant NDT certifications (e.g., ASNT Level II or equivalent in common methods) are highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work on-site in Panihati, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple inspection tasks in a dynamic industrial setting.
- Prior experience in sectors such as automotive, fabrication, marine, or heavy engineering is an advantage.
