About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with 45 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in networking technologies, security best practices, and infrastructure management, with the ability to build reliable, scalable, and high-performance network environments that support evolving business and technology needs.

This role offers the opportunity to work across modern enterprise infrastructure, high-performance computing environments, cloud connectivity, and next-generation networking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.

Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, and internet connectivity across multiple environments.

Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network appliances.

Monitor network performance, availability, and security to ensure maximum uptime.

Perform network capacity planning, optimization, and performance tuning.

Diagnose and resolve network incidents, outages, and connectivity issues.

Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams on technology deployments.

Implement network segmentation, redundancy, and disaster recovery best practices.

Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, IP address management, and configuration backups.

Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.

Participate in infrastructure planning, upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.

Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies that improve scalability and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

Networking

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT, Routing, and Switching.

Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.

Hands-on knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, or similar routing protocols.

Experience configuring enterprise firewalls and VPN solutions.

Knowledge of network load balancing and redundancy concepts.

Infrastructure





Experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware.

Understanding of data center networking principles.

Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Experience with structured cabling and physical infrastructure is an advantage.

Cloud & Virtualization

Basic understanding of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking.

Familiarity with hybrid cloud connectivity.

Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or virtualization networking concepts.

Security

Network security best practices.

Firewall policies and access control.

IDS/IPS fundamentals.

VPN implementation.

Network hardening techniques.

Preferred Technical Exposure

Candidates with experience in one or more of the following will be preferred:

Cisco networking solutions

Juniper Networks

Aruba Networks

Fortinet

Palo Alto Networks

MikroTik

Ubiquiti

SD-WAN technologies

Network Automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform)

Monitoring tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, or Grafana

Linux networking fundamentals

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.

45 years of relevant experience in network engineering or infrastructure engineering.

CCNA certification preferred.

CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto, Juniper, or equivalent certifications are an added advantage.
