KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
A. Network & Connectivity
- Monitor and maintain LAN and Wi‑Fi networks across wards, outpatient areas, diagnostic departments, and administrative offices.
- Configure and support network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points under guidance of senior IT staff.
- Troubleshoot network performance and connectivity issues, including cabling faults, IP conflicts, and Wi‑Fi coverage problems, and escalate complex issues as required.
- Assist in managing VLANs, basic routing, DHCP, DNS, and IP address allocation in coordination with senior administrators or external vendors.
B. Systems & End‑User Support
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, thin clients, printers, barcode scanners, and other end‑user devices used in the hospital or institution.
- Perform operating system and application updates, basic patching, and antivirus management on endpoints to maintain security and performance.
- Create and manage user accounts, email IDs, and access permissions in Active Directory or equivalent systems in line with organizational policies.
- Provide Level‑1/Level‑2 support to doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff for issues related to login, applications, printing, and connectivity, using a helpdesk/ticketing system.
C. Servers, Backup & Security
- Assist in basic server administration tasks (Windows/Linux), such as monitoring health, disk space, services, and scheduled jobs, under supervision of senior IT staff.
- Monitor and verify daily backups of critical systems (HIS/EMR, billing, laboratory, radiology, HR, finance) and participate in periodic restore tests.
- Support implementation of security controls including antivirus, endpoint protection, firewall rules, user access controls, and password policies to protect patient and institutional data.
- Help maintain documentation of network diagrams, system configurations,
inventory of IT assets, and standard operating procedures for audits and continuity.
D. Projects & Coordination
- Assist in roll‑out of new systems, network upgrades, Wi‑Fi expansions, and hardware refresh projects across the hospital or campus.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for installation, warranty support, repairs, and AMC activities related to IT hardware and networking equipment.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to understand IT issues, propose basic technical solutions, and ensure minimal disruption to patient care and operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent technical qualification).
- 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in network/system administration, desktop support, or IT infrastructure management in a hospital, educational institution, or similar environment.
- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts, TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi technologies, switches/routers, and Windows client/server environments.
PREFERRED SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting hospital information systems (HIS/EMR/LIS/RIS) or similar enterprise applications.
- Exposure to Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and basic virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper‑V or equivalent).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified (MCSA/up-to-date equivalent) are an added advantage.
COMPETENCIES & SOFT SKILLS
- Strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize incidents based on impact to patient care and operations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with clinical staff, administrators, and external vendors in a professional manner.
- Willingness to work in shifts or be part of an on‑call roster for critical IT incidents, as required by hospital operations.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
