Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher to plan and deliver engaging music lessons, train students in vocal and/or instrumental music, and lead school musical events, choirs, and performances.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver age-appropriate music lessons (vocal and/or instrumental) as per the school curriculum.
- Train students for school assemblies, annual functions, competitions, and other cultural events.
- Maintain and manage musical instruments and classroom resources. Identify and nurture musically talented students; conduct auditions where required.

- Prepare lesson plans, assess student progress, and maintain records.
- Coordinate with the school administration for cultural programs and inter-school competitions.




- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the music room.

Qualifications Bachelor's/Diploma in Music (Vocal or Instrumental) from a recognized institution/university; a Visharad or equivalent qualification is also acceptable.

B.Ed. is preferred but not mandatory.

Proficiency in at least one instrument (e.g., keyboard, guitar, tabla, harmonium) is desirable; knowledge of both vocal and instrumental music is an advantage.

Experience

Minimum 1-3 years of teaching experience in a school setting preferred.

Freshers with solid musical training/performance background may also be considered.

Desired Skills

Good command over English (spoken and written), given the English-medium setup.

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Ability to train students for stage performances and competitions.

Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching music to young learners.
