Key Responsibilities

- Execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance as per maintenance schedule.

- Dismantle, inspect, repair, replace and assemble mechanical equipment.

- Perform alignment of pumps, motors, gearboxes and couplings.

- Replace bearings, seals, gaskets, belts, chains and other mechanical components.

- Attend emergency equipment breakdowns with minimum downtime.

- Carry out lubrication activities as per lubrication schedule.

- Inspect rotating equipment and report abnormal vibration, noise, overheating or leakage.

- Maintain conveyors, pumps, blowers, agitators, crushers, gearboxes, valves and pipelines.

- Assist in shutdown and annual maintenance activities.

- Ensure proper housekeeping at work location after completion of maintenance.

- Follow Work Permit System (WPS), LOTO, JSA and all HSE requirements before starting work.

- Properly use PPE and comply with plant safety procedures.





- Record maintenance activities in CMMS/maintenance logbooks.

- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical and Instrumentation teams during maintenance jobs.

- Suggest improvements to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Educational Qualification

- ITI Fitter (Mandatory)

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)

Experience

- 2–6 years in Mechanical Maintenance of Zinc/Copper/Lead Smelter, Cement, Power, Steel or Heavy Process Industry.

- Experience in rotating equipment maintenance and plant shutdowns is preferred.
