Job Summary

As a Mobile Automation Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for Android and iOS applications using Appium. You will ensure end-to-end mobile quality by building robust frameworks, improving test coverage, and supporting continuous delivery of mobile releases.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Appium-based mobile automation frameworks
- Automate functional and regression scenarios for Android and iOS platforms
- Ensure automation stability across devices, OS versions, and form factors
- Collaborate with mobile developers for early defect detection
- Analyze test results and contribute to release readiness decisions

What You Will Do
- Automate native, hybrid, and mobile web applications
- Manage test execution on emulators, simulators, and real devices
- Maintain object repositories and reusable automation utilities
- Integrate mobile automation with CI pipelines
- Perform root-cause analysis of test failures and device issues

What You Will Bring
- Appium Mobile Automation (Android & iOS)
- Test Framework Design (Java/TestNG, Python/PyTest)
- CI Integration for Mobile Testing

Experience with device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest) Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Experience with Jenkins, Git, REST API, XML, JSON, HTML.

Solid experience in mobile automation strategy and execution

Deep understanding of mobile app architecture and lifecycle

Commitment to high-quality, user-focused mobile experiences

Strong programming skills in one or more languages commonly used for mobile automation, such as Java, Kotlin, Swift/Objective-C, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.





Hands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks including Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox, or similar tools.

Candidate with XCUITest experience preferred.

Proven ability to design and maintain scalable, reliable mobile test frameworks for both iOS and Android platforms. Experience integrating mobile test automation into CI/CD pipelines and working with device farm services such as AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab, Sauce Labs, or BrowserStack.

Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, including lifecycle management, threading, memory, networking, and permissions.

Demonstrated ability to debug native mobile crashes, instrumentation issues, and performance-related problems.

Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating within Agile, cross-functional engineering teams.

Education and Experience Required

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
- 4-7 years of experience in test automation, with strong mobile focus
- 3+ years of hands-on Appium experience is preferred

Knowledge and Skills
- Appium with Java/Python
- Test frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, PyTest
- Mobile locators: XPath, Accessibility ID, iOS Predicate
- Android Studio, Xcode, ADB
- CI tools: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions
- Version control: Git

Additional Skills (Good to Have)
- Mobile performance and battery testing
- BDD tools like Cucumber
- Basic understanding of REST APIs for end-to-end mobile flows
- Exposure to Scrum/Agile methodologies
