Why this role exists:

Byufuel runs on data collection volumes, supplier visits, field inputs, app captures — flowing in every day from 80+ cities. Today a lot of it still arrives messy: Google Forms, half-structured spreadsheets, inconsistent field entries.

We’re hiring someone who can bring structure to chaos first, then turn it into insight. Someone who cleans and reconciles the raw data so the numbers can be trusted, builds the reporting others rely on, and crucially understands what those numbers mean for the business.

Role & Responsibility:

- Own the MIS and reporting backbone take raw, messy, multi-source data (Google Forms, spreadsheets, app exports, field inputs) and turn it into clean, structured, reliable datasets.
- Bring structure before dashboards: define data standards, naming, validation and reconciliation so every number can be trusted at source.
- Build and maintain the core MIS: daily, weekly and monthly reporting on collections, volumes, coverage and operational KPIs.
- Investigate and close data-integrity gaps: where field-captured numbers dont reconcile with verified figures and flag anomalies proactively rather than waiting to be asked.
- Turn data into insight, not just reports: explain not only what happened but why, spot trends and leakage,



and translate them into clear recommendations for leadership.
- Build dashboards and visualisations (Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools) that people use to make decisions.
- Partner with Ops, Field, Tech and the Founders office to fix data capture at source, not just clean it up downstream.
- Automate repetitive reporting over time — reduce manual effort and turnaround.
- Support planning, target-setting and OKR tracking with clean, decision-ready numbers.

Who you are:

- 5–7 years in MIS / data analysis / business analytics — ideally in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.
- Exceptional in Excel / Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivots, lookups, Power Query), you’ve done serious hands-on data crunching yourself, not just managed people who did.
- You’ve wrangled messy, real-world data — Google Forms, field inputs, inconsistent spreadsheets into clean, usable structure.
- Strong business sense: you understand what the numbers mean for the business, not just how to calculate them.
- Analytically sharp: you ask “why,” find the story in the data, and can defend your reasoning with evidence.
- Comfortable building dashboards and reports people rely on (Excel/Sheets).
- Structured and detail-obsessed: numbers that don’t reconcile genuinely bother you until they do.
- Bonus: exposure to operations, logistics or supply-chain data.
