We are seeking an experienced Micro Focus COBOL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in mainframe or distributed COBOL development using Micro Focus technologies, along with experience in application maintenance, enhancement, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Micro Focus COBOL .
- Analyze business requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Perform code enhancements, bug fixes, and application modernization activities.
- Work on application support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Conduct unit testing, system testing, and support UAT activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.




- Ensure adherence to coding standards and development best practices.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Micro Focus COBOL development.
- Good knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM , and batch processing.
- Experience in application maintenance and production support.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Experience working with databases such as DB2, SQL Server, or Oracle .
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in legacy system modernization projects.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
- Exposure to version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Experience in Banking, Insurance, or Healthcare domains.

Immediate joiners and candidates serving notice period are highly preferred.
