Job Title: Metal Design & Production Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Metal Design & Production Engineer who can transform customer requirements into accurate manufacturing drawings and production-ready files. The ideal candidate should understand both design and fabrication, ensuring smooth execution from concept to finished product.

Key Responsibilities

- Create 2D and 3D sheet metal designs and fabrication drawings.
- Design custom furniture and loose furniture such as console units, dining tables, chairs, coffee tables, side tables, display units, shelving systems, TV units, and other bespoke furniture.
- Prepare laser cutting files, DXF files, and nesting layouts.
- Generate manufacturing drawings with dimensions and tolerances.
- Develop flat patterns for bending and fabrication.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Optimize designs for cost-effective manufacturing.
- Prepare BOMs (Bill of Materials) and project documentation.
- Handle customer drawing modifications and revisions.




- Support estimation and quotation preparation when required.

• Assist in developing new products and fabrication solutions.

Requirements
- Diploma / B.E. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Understanding of laser cutting, bending, welding, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and create engineering drawings.

• Robust problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with nesting software.
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost optimization.
- Experience working in fabrication, furniture metalwork, architectural metalwork, or industrial products.

• Understanding of stainless steel fabrication and finishing processes.
