Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated MEP Mechanical Design Engineer with over 10 years of experience in mechanical building services design. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems and be capable of independently handling design, coordination, calculations, technical documentation, and project execution from concept through construction.

Key ResponsibilitiesHVAC Design

Design HVAC systems for commercial, residential, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure projects.

Prepare cooling and heating load calculations using HAP, Elite, or equivalent software.

Design chilled water systems, DX systems, VRF/VRV systems, and ventilation systems.

Design fresh air, smoke extraction, stair pressurization, and exhaust systems.

Select HVAC equipment including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation equipment.

Perform duct sizing, pipe sizing, pressure drop calculations, and equipment selection.

Plumbing Design

Design domestic cold water, hot water, and drainage systems.

Prepare plumbing layouts and riser diagrams.

Design sewage, storm water, and rainwater drainage systems.





Coordinate plumbing services with architectural and structural disciplines.

Prepare water demand calculations and equipment schedules.

Fire Fighting Design

Design fire hydrant and automatic sprinkler systems in compliance with applicable codes.

Prepare hydraulic calculations.

Design fire pump rooms and fire water storage systems.

Coordinate with fire consultants and local authority requirements.

Prepare fire fighting layouts and technical documentation.

MEP Coordination

Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, structural, architectural, and BIM teams.

Participate in multidisciplinary design review meetings.

Resolve clashes using Revit/BIM coordination tools.

Review shop drawings and contractor submissions.

Support project execution and site coordination activities.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech)

Relevant HVAC or MEP certifications are preferred.

Experience

Minimum 10+ years in MEP Mechanical Design.

Experience with engineering consultancy firms is highly preferred.

Gulf (UAE/GCC) project experience will be an added advantage.
