The Lead Design Management (MEP) will be responsible for driving all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design coordination activities for hospitality assets under the Adani portfolio. The role ensures seamless alignment between hotel operators/brand technical teams, Asset Owning Companies (AOC) project teams, MEP consultants, and vendors, ensuring the final built product meets all brand standards, codes & regulatory standards, operational requirements, sustainability guidelines, and Adani Group governance norms. Reporting to the Head Projects / Head Design, this role acts as the MEP subject matter expert across the hospitality pipelinefrom design development to installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Role & responsibilities

1. Design Coordination & Stakeholder Alignment

- Serve as the central point of coordination for all MEP-related matters between brand technical services, AOC project teams, MEP consultants, contractors, and the Hospitality Division.
- Ensure MEP designs incorporate all brand guidelines, operational needs, safety standards, and sustainability targets.
- Facilitate structured design review meetings with transparent MOMs, action logs, and deliverable tracking.

1. MEP Design Oversight

- Review and validate all MEP design submissions (Concept, Schematic, DD, GFC) for compliance with: o Brand technical specifications o Applicable codes and local statutory requirements o Operational efficiency and guest experience considerations
- Identify design gaps early and drive timely resolution with consultants and contractors.

1. Interface With Hotel Operators & Brand Technical Teams

- Lead coordination with brand technical services for MEP standards, equipment selection, back-of-house layouts, HVAC strategies, kitchen and laundry coordination, fire & life safety, water systems, and sustainability directives.




- Ensure all operator-requested changes are evaluated for feasibility, cost implication, and project impact before approval.

1. Site Support, Quality & Execution

- Provide site-level oversight during installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of MEP systems.

• Assess readiness and quality of works to ensure installations match approved designs and brand standards.
- Drive resolution of site technical issues, RFIs, and deviations.
- Support snagging, de-snagging, system handover, and final commissioning.

5. Governance, Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure all MEP works meet Adani Group standards for safety, risk management, ESG, and quality.
- Guide AOC teams on coordination with statutory authorities for MEP-related approvals and certifications.
- Maintain structured documentation: design registers, compliance trackers, approval logs, and commissioning reports

6. Budget & Value Engineering Support

- Review MEP-related BOQs, vendor proposals, and technical specifications.
- Recommend value engineering solutions without compromising performance or brand requirements.
- Track cost implications arising from design iterations and changes.
- Provide periodic updates, risk assessments, and technical inputs to the Head Project Design & Development.
- Track MEP design progress against project milestones.

7. Handover & Pre-Opening Support

- Ensure smooth integration between project delivery and hotel pre-opening teams.
- Support operator teams during MEP system training, handover documentation, and operational readiness checks.

• Assist in final brand certifications and readiness audits.

Education Qualification

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in MEP Design Management, preferably in hospitality, mixed-use developments, luxury residential, or hotel sector.
