The successful candidate will have a strong background in medical coding, specifically in HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) coding. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:1. Assign and sequence ICD codes accurately for HCC purposes
- Review medical records and claims data to identify HCC conditions
- Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulations, and industry changes
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding issues
Requirements:1. 1+ year of experience in medical coding, preferably in HCC coding
- Knowledge of ICD coding systems and HCC guidelines
- Certification in medical coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
