Role Description The Mechanical Simulation Engineering Intern role is a remote internship focused on supporting the design, analysis, and validation of mechanical systems for health and wellness products. Day-to-day tasks include developing and running simulation models, assisting with CAD-based design iterations, and analyzing mechanical performance under various operating conditions. The intern will help review results, prepare technical reports and documentation, and collaborate with engineers to refine designs based on simulation outcomes.
Additional responsibilities may include supporting virtual design reviews, contributing to prototype evaluation,
and learning to apply industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering. This internship offers exposure to real-world projects, mentorship from experienced professionals, and an opportunity to build practical skills in a mission-driven company.
Qualifications
Mechanical Engineering fundamentals, including statics, dynamics, and strength of materials, and an ability to apply them to real-world problems.
Computer-Aided Design (CAD) proficiency with tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar software, and familiarity with 3D modeling workflows.
Maintenance and Inspection skills, including basic understanding of mechanical components, reliability concepts, and quality checks.
Exposure to Automotive or related mechanical systems, with interest in applying similar principles to health and wellness technologies.
Some experience or coursework in mechanical simulation (FEA, CFD, or multi-body dynamics) and willingness to learn new simulation tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in technical work.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams using digital tools.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; prior internship or project experience is an advantage.
