D Y Patil International School, Worli is seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have experience teaching the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and be committed to delivering high-quality, inquiry-based education that inspires students to achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in accordance with the IB curriculum (MYP/DP).
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
- Assess, monitor, and report student progress using IB assessment practices.
- Prepare students for internal and external IB assessments.
- Develop lesson plans, learning resources, and differentiated teaching strategies.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student learning and development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mathematics.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in an IB school (MYP/DP). Candidates with Cambridge (IGCSE/A Levels) experience may also apply.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based teaching and IB assessment practices.
- IB professional development/workshop certification will be an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience teaching MYP Mathematics and/or DP Mathematics (AA/AI).
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools and educational technology.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve academic excellence.
