Job Purpose To execute and monitor Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in SAP, ensuring timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and purchased components for uninterrupted manufacturing while maintaining optimum inventory levels and compliance with company policies .

Key Responsibilities

1. MRP Planning & Execution

- Execute MRP runs in SAP as per defined planning cycles.
- Review and analyse MRP exceptions and exception messages.
- Convert planned orders and purchase requisitions into actionable procurement requirements.
- Ensure accurate material planning based on production schedules and sales forecasts.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and excess inventory.

2. Master Data Management

- Maintain and validate material master data.

- Update MRP parameters including

- MRP Type

- Lot Size

- Safety Stock

- Reorder Point

- Planning Time Fence

- Procurement Type

- Lead Time

- Purchasing Group
- Coordinate with the Master Data team for any required changes.

3. Material Availability

- Track availability of APIs, excipients, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Coordinate with Procurement for timely purchase order placement.
- Follow up on critical material shortages.
- Prepare shortage reports and recommend mitigation plans.

Production Planning Support

- Support production planners in ensuring material readiness.
- Review production schedules against material availability.
- Coordinate with Supply Planner

5. Inventory Control

- Monitor inventory turnover and aging.
- Minimize slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
- Identify excess inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain optimal inventory while ensuring service levels.

- MD01 / MD02 / MD03 MRP Run
- MD04 – Stock/Requirements List
- MD05 – MRP List
- MD06 / MD07 – Collective MRP Processing
- MDVP – Planning File Entry
- MMBE – Stock Overview
- ME51N – Purchase Requisition
- ME57 – Assign & Process Purchase Requisitions
- CO09 – Availability Check
- MB52 – Warehouse Stock Report

1. Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy/ Science

8. Experience

- 3–6 years of experience in Material Planning or Supply Chain.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA MRP.
