Job Title: Head Business Development / Business Expansion

Location: Mumbai (Head Office)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head Business Development to drive retail expansion and business growth. The role will focus on identifying new store locations, managing lease negotiations, overseeing store launches, and leading end-to-end project execution for new retail outlets. The ideal candidate should have strong industry relationships, commercial acumen, and hands-on experience in retail expansion within fashion, lifestyle, jewellery, or apparel sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Expansion & Growth

- Identify and evaluate new retail locations across key markets, including high streets, malls, and premium retail hubs.
- Build a strong pipeline for new store openings aligned with business growth plans.
- Negotiate lease terms and finalize commercial agreements with landlords and developers.
- Develop strategic partnerships with mall developers, brokers, and franchise networks.

Project Management & Store Launches

- Lead end-to-end execution of new store openings, from site selection to store handover.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and vendors for store design, fit-outs, and execution.
- Manage budgets, timelines, procurement, and quality standards during project rollout.




- Work closely with internal teams including design, operations, IT, and visual merchandising to ensure successful launches.

Business Analytics & Reporting

- Track KPIs related to expansion, store performance, and capex efficiency.
- Provide regular updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile

Must Have

- 8+ years of experience in Business Development / Retail Expansion / Project Management within fashion, lifestyle, jewellery, or apparel brands.
- Strong experience in real estate negotiations, lease closures, and store rollout execution.
- Established network with mall developers, real estate consultants, contractors, and premium retail partners.
- Proven expertise in project management and retail fit-outs.

Preferred

- Exposure to luxury / D2C jewellery brands and omnichannel retail models.
- Franchise development network and expansion experience.
- Experience in quick-growing, high-performance organizations.
