Position: Manager Test Suite Development

Location: Bengaluru, India

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong engineering manager to lead the Test Suite Development team responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering specification compliant for Server grade SSD product.The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in storage protocols like NVMe/MI, test automation preferable in Python, software development cycle and technical leadership. This role involves managing engineers, driving product quality through specification-based test development, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality test suites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Own end-to-end planning and test suite development milestones to enable multiple Enterprise/Datacenter SSD programs
2. Track progress against committed schedules, proactively identify risks/blockers, and drive timely mitigation
3. Coordinate dependencies with frameworks, Driver, and other internal teams to keep test suite deliverables on track
4. Drive spec coverage completeness (NVMe, NVMe MI, OCP, SPDM, MCTP, SMBus, I3C and PLDM) and requirement traceability (RTM) across the test suite
5. Own test suite quality metrics and drive root-cause analysis and corrective action for coverage gaps
6. Ensure test suite design is robust, maintainable, and kept current with evolving specifications
7. Manage, mentor, identify the improvement & conduct regular feedback discussion, performance reviews, and career development planning

Build a strong team culture around ownership, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
9. Support hiring, onboarding, and resource/capacity planning to meet team demand
10. Identify and drive automation opportunities to reduce manual test-case development effort and cycle time
11. Optimize test suite development workflows through CI/CD pipeline improvements and tooling
12. Champion adoption of AI-driven workflows and productivity tools across the test development lifecycle
13. Translate team output into measurable business value (coverage improvement, defect prevention, faster test suite readiness for qualification)
14. Represent the team in cross-functional and leadership reviews; build solid partnerships with cross teams
15. Own regular status reporting (WSRs, escalation updates, leadership decks) with clear, data-driven narratives
16. Maintain visibility of team KPIs, coverage metrics, and delivery status for leadership stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
2. Overall 8-10 years of experience in development in storage domain/test suite/test framework development, with minimum 3-4 years in a people management role
3. Strong background in NVMe storage protocols and Python automation
4. Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
5. Proven track record of managing delivery schedules and driving quality outcomes
6. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
