Role Overview The Manager – Production role presents an exciting opportunity to lead pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in a cGMP-regulated workplace.
Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day production across granulation, compression, coating, and packing, driving process validation and technology transfer, ensuring regulatory inspection readiness, and building high-performing shop-floor teams. The ideal candidate brings 12 to 15 years of production leadership experience, a strong compliance-first mindset, proven greenfield project exposure, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams. A Challenging Task
- Lead and manage day-to-day production operations across granulation, compression, coating, and packing sections, ensuring targets are met as per the production plan.
- Supervise and develop a large production team, driving performance, training, and accountability across shifts.
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP guidelines, safety standards, and regulatory requirements across all manufacturing activities.
- Prepare and review SOPs, BMRs (Batch Manufacturing Records), and other production documentation.
- Drive process validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ and support technology transfer and scale-up of new products.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing KPIs such as yield, cycle time, OEE, and lead-time reduction through Lean/Kaizen initiatives.
- Support equipment commissioning, FAT/SAT activities, and greenfield project execution as required.
- Ensure audit readiness and actively participate in regulatory inspections (US FDA, MHRA, WHO, TGA, ANVISA, CDSCO, etc.), addressing observations with corrective and preventive actions.
- Handle change control, deviation management, and risk assessments (FMEA) related to production processes.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Plan manpower, machine, and material requirements to meet production schedules efficiently.
- Drive digital manufacturing initiatives (MES, DAS, recipe management) for process efficiency and data integrity.
- Report production performance, issues, and improvement plans to senior management/Site Head.
- Monitor raw material and consumable stock levels in coordination with warehouse/stores to avoid production delays.
- Ensure timely calibration and preventive maintenance of production equipment in coordination with the Engineering team.
- Review and approve batch documentation, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards (ALCOA+ principles).
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation for production-related deviations and non-conformances.
- Plan and conduct periodic training programs for shop-floor staff on GMP, safety, and process updates.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and formulation transfer activities from R&D; to commercial production.
- Optimize batch cycle times and reduce changeover time through process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper implementation of 5S, housekeeping, and safety standards across the production floor.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly production reports, budgets, and cost-control initiatives in line with organizational goals.
- Liaise with QA and QC departments to ensure timely batch release and resolve quality-related bottlenecks.

- A results-driven, hands-on manufacturing professional with established shop-floor credibility and a strong compliance-first approach. Preferred candidates will have extensive experience in High Potent OSD or General OSD operations, with comprehensive knowledge of GMP, quality systems, EHS standards, and regulatory expectations.

A Convincing Background
- M.Pharmacy / B.Pharmacy or any relevant qualification in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related discipline.
- 12 to 15 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (cGMP regulated setting).
- Proven track record in greenfield facility setup, commissioning,
and commercial production scale-up.
- Experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), technology transfer, and SOP/BMR development.
- Exposure to regulatory inspections by US FDA, MHRA, WHO, TGA, ANVISA, CDSCO, or similar authorities.
- Strong understanding of change control, deviation management, and risk assessment (FMEA).
- Proficiency in MS Office and manufacturing systems (SAP, MES, DAS) along with strong communication skills.
