Job Title: Manager Production

Location: Daman, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu

Job Summary The Manager Production will oversee and optimize end-to-end factory production activities at the Daman manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for shift planning, workflow optimization, quality management, cost reduction, safety compliance, and leading floor teams to achieve targets on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Shop Floor Management Formulate and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to align with customer orders and sales pipelines.

Monitor shop-floor activities to ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and material resources.

Drive machine availability, reduce setup time, and minimize unplanned downtime.

2. Quality & Operations Improvement Ensure finished goods strictly meet quality standards and specifications.

Implement manufacturing techniques, and continuous improvement practices to reduce waste and rework.

Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) teams to resolve shop-floor non-conformances (NCRs).

3. Inventory & Resource Management Collaborate with Supply Chain and Store teams to maintain raw material (RM) levels and avoid stockouts.

Track raw material consumption, yield, and scrap generation to enforce cost-effective material usage.

Utilize ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally) for accurate production logging, inventory entry, and reporting

Job Expectations: Team Leadership & Workforce Management

Lead, train, and mentor shift supervisors, machine operators, technicians, and contract labor.





Oversee manpower deployment across shifts, manage attendance, and foster a productive work culture.

Identify skill gaps and conduct regular safety and operational training sessions.

- Safety, Health, & Environmental (EHS) Compliance

Enforce factory safety guidelines, proper PPE usage, and work permit protocols across the shop floor.

Ensure full compliance with local regulatory requirements, statutory labor standards, and factory acts.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness): Machine utilization and yield efficiency.

OTIF (On-Time In-Full): Production delivery performance against schedule.

Scrap / Rejection Rate: Percentage reduction in shop-floor waste and rework.

Cost Variance: Control over material and operational production costs.

Safety Incidents: Zero lost-time injury (LTI) target on the shop floor.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.

Experience: 8-12+ years in manufacturing/factory operations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or lead production role.

Technical Skills

o Hands-on knowledge of production planning (PPC), shop-floor control, and inventory control.

o Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, ERPNext, or local ERP software) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

o Understanding of Lean,and ISO quality management systems.

Soft Skills: Robust leadership, conflict resolution, analytical problem-solving, and time-management skills.
