Manager-Production & Operations (Carbonated Soft Drinks)

Industry: Non-Alcoholic Beverage Manufacturing

Objective of the Role:

Responsible for leading the establishment, commissioning, and operation of a non alcoholic beverage plant. The role involves setting up the production function from the ground up, commissioning processing and bottling lines, establishing manufacturing systems and SOPs, building the production team, and ensuring effective, safe, and high-quality commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greenfield Project Execution

- Lead production activities during the construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up of the bottling plant.
- Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Procurement, QA, and equipment suppliers for successful project execution.
- Develop production readiness plans before commercial production.
- Ensure successful commissioning of utilities including: RO & Water Treatment Plant, Air Compressors, Chillers, Boilers.

Production Planning & Operations

- Plan, organise, and oversee daily production and bottling activities to achieve production targets.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts.
- Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machinery, and production resources.
- Monitor production efficiency and implement measures to maximise line productivity.

Bottling & Packaging Operations

- Manage complete bottling line operations, including bottle rinsing, filling, capping, coding, labelling, etc.




- Improve line efficiency through effective changeover planning and process optimisation.

Quality & Food Safety

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies viz. FSSAI,GMP,GHP,HACCP,pollution and company quality system.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to conduct in-process quality checks and product testing.

Plant Maintenance

- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of filling lines, conveyors, compressors, chillers, boilers, RO plants, and utilities.
- Monitor machine performance and reduce downtime through effective maintenance planning.

Team Leadership

- Lead and supervise production supervisors, shift in-charges, operators, technicians, and contract manpower.
- Allocate manpower efficiently across production lines.
- Conduct training on SOPs, food safety, machine operations, quality systems, and workplace safety.

Health, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in production operations within a non-alcoholic beverage manufacturing or bottling plant.
