Role & responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end procurement of plant, machinery, and factory setup equipment, from RFQ to purchase order closure.

- Source and procure production machinery, industrial utilities, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and factory infrastructure equipment.

- Conduct techno-commercial evaluations, vendor negotiations, cost analysis, and contract finalization.

- Manage domestic and international sourcing, including import procurement, logistics, customs, and landed cost optimization.

- Develop and manage OEM/vendor relationships, conduct vendor evaluations, and drive alternate source development.

- Execute cost optimization initiatives through value engineering, market intelligence, standardization, and strategic sourcing.

- Coordinate with engineering, projects, quality, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement and project execution.





- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, statutory requirements, documentation standards, and support internal/external audits.

Preferred candidate profile

- 510 years of experience in procurement of plant & machinery for factory setup, CAPEX, Greenfield/Brownfield, or EPC projects.

- Solid expertise in sourcing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and industrial equipment, including vendor development, techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiations.

- Experience in domestic/international sourcing, import procurement, and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) with a solid understanding of procurement best practices and equipment standards.
