Altos is seeking an experienced and results-oriented RCM Manager / Account Manager to lead end-to-end revenue cycle operations for U.S.-based physician practices. This is a full-time night-shift leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence, client satisfaction, financial performance, and team development across multiple physician accounts.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in U.S. physician/professional billing, strong leadership capabilities, executive-level client management experience, and a proven ability to improve collections, reduce accounts receivable (AR), prevent denials, and optimize operational efficiency. This role combines strategic account leadership with hands-on operational oversight in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
Client & Account Management
- Serve as the primary relationship owner and strategic advisor for assigned U.S. physician practices.
- Lead weekly and monthly business reviews covering AR performance, collections, denials, operational metrics, risks, and improvement initiatives.
- Manage client escalations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution through effective collaboration with internal teams.
- Partner with clients on provider onboarding, payer enrollment, workflow optimization, operational stabilization, and practice growth initiatives.
- Build long-term client relationships through proactive communication and consistent delivery of performance objectives.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop team leads, billers, AR analysts, and payment posting teams.
- Manage staff, workload distribution, productivity, quality, and SLA performance. Conduct coaching, performance reviews,
and succession planning.
Revenue Cycle Operations
- Provide leadership across the complete physician/qualified billing revenue cycle, from Patient insurance verification, Charge entry, coding, claim submission, Payment posting and reconciliation, Accounts receivable follow-up, and Denial management and appeals.
- Develop and implement action plans that improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and reimbursement outcomes. Establish operational controls that improve clean claim rates and First Pass Yield (FPY). Monitor charge lag, DNFB, turnaround times, productivity, and workflow bottlenecks.
- Lead Accounts Receivable & Denial Management by developing and executing AR reduction strategies. Analyze denial trends and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Ensure coding Integrity by partnering with certified coders to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy. Monitor CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifier utilization. Identify trends affecting reimbursement, denials, underpayments, compliance, and revenue leakage. Ensure compliance with payer requirements, specialty-specific billing guidelines, and client policies.
- Review quality audit findings and implement corrective and preventive action plans. Maintain and continuously improve physician billing SOPs, workflows, and operational documentation. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, client standards, and internal policies. Support compliance initiatives and internal quality programs.
- Prepare and present executive-level reports covering entire RCM process. Translate operational data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for clients and executive leadership.
