About The Role Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant is focused on utilising financial information to support business decision making and supporting managers in fulfilling their budget management responsibilities.

A major deliverable will be the compilation and subsequent approval of the organisation’s detailed annual budget. Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

- Keep budgets up to date and accurate in financial system, making budget transfers and adjustments, as appropriate
- Create accurate annual Centre budgets at a detailed level, including phasing to months
- Train recent managers in the use of Business Central and respond to finance-related questions in a timely manner
- Produce an annual budget at a detailed level for operating costs and capital expenditure meeting agreed deadlines

About You As an experienced Accountant, you will be able to build relationships with and provide advice to management across different levels of the organisation. The Successful Candidate Will Have

- Experience in a Management Accounting role
- A relevant tertiary qualification & CAANZ membership (or equivalent)
- Ability to effectively communicate accounting concepts to non-accountants
- Experience with the annual budgeting process
- Confidence and ability to make decisions with incomplete information

Desired

- Knowledge of Playcentre and a commitment to uphold Playcentre philosophy
- Knowledge and experience within a charitable organisation
- Experience in Dynamics Business Central
