Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Solar O&M; Engineer / Solar Maintenance In-charge for our Jaipur Branch. The candidate will be responsible for the complete operation and maintenance of industrial rooftop and ground-mounted solar power plants.

- Monitor daily plant generation through inverter monitoring portals and identify low-generation, zero-generation and inverter imbalance issues.
- Carry out preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of solar power plants.
- Independently troubleshoot solar inverters, DC strings, AC/DC cables, ACDB, DCDB, MI Box, solar meter, net meter and CT meter.
- Identify and resolve MC4 connector burning, cable heating, loose connections, SPD, fuse, MCB/MCCB, earthing and lightning arrester faults.
- Check string voltage, current, insulation resistance, earth resistance and inverter-wise generation performance.
- Inspect solar modules, module structure, walkways, cables, electrical panels and earthing systems.
- Troubleshoot data logger, inverter communication and monitoring portal-related problems.
- Use multimeter, clamp meter, megger, earth resistance tester and thermal camera for fault diagnosis.
- Coordinate with inverter manufacturers and service centres for warranty claims, repairs and replacements.
- Attend client complaints promptly and minimise plant downtime.
- Prepare site visit reports, fault reports, maintenance reports and material requirement reports.
- Maintain records of pending complaints, completed work and spare materials.
- Supervise and guide maintenance technicians working under the Jaipur Branch.
- Coordinate with clients,



branch management and the O&M; Head.
- Follow all electrical and work-at-height safety procedures.
- Travel to solar sites in Jaipur and nearby locations as required.

• Be available for urgent plant breakdowns when required.

Preferred candidate profile
- ITI, Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of practical experience in solar plant operation and maintenance.
- Experience in industrial and commercial rooftop solar plants is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of solar inverter troubleshooting, string and MPPT analysis, AC/DC systems, earthing and plant generation analysis.
- Experience with inverter brands such as Sungrow, GoodWe, Solis, Growatt, Delta, Sineng, K-Solar or similar brands will be preferred.
- Candidate must be capable of independently identifying and resolving solar plant faults.
- Basic knowledge of transformers and HT panels will be an added advantage.
- Good client-handling, team-management and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, email, WhatsApp and solar monitoring applications.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving license are mandatory.
- Must be willing to travel and attend emergency breakdown calls.
