Role Description The Litigation Associate will work on a full-time, on-site basis in the Pune Division. This role involves drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, written statements, and other litigation documents for technology and cyber-related matters. The associate will conduct detailed legal and factual research, assist in case strategy, and prepare briefs for hearings in various courts and tribunals.
Responsibilities include coordinating and attending court appearances, managing depositions and witness preparation, and liaising with clients and counsel to gather case information and provide updates. The role also includes supporting crisis management for digital offences,
ensuring compliance with relevant technology laws and regulations, and contributing to internal knowledge-building on emerging tech-law issues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational skills in Law, including knowledge of technology law, cyber law, data protection, and civil/criminal procedure.
- Candidates should possess experience in drafting and responding to Motions and other litigation documents, with attention to detail and clear legal reasoning.
- Candidates should possess advanced Research skills, including case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and familiarity with online legal databases.
- Candidates should possess exposure to Depositions, witness interviews, and evidence gathering, with an ability to organize and present facts effectively.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Courts and tribunals, including filing procedures, hearing practices, and case management protocols.
- LL.B. or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution; enrollment with the Bar Council and eligibility to practice law in India.
- 3-4 years of litigation experience, preferably in technology, cybercrime, regulatory, or commercial disputes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, work collaboratively with a team, and interact professionally with clients.
- Interest in technology, startups, and emerging digital regulations; prior experience with data
