Role & responsibilities

Trust & Governance

- Handle all legal matters related to Trust Deeds, Amendments, By-laws, Resolutions, and Minutes
- Ensure compliance with Indian Trust Act, Societies Act, Public Trust Act, and other applicable laws
- Advise Trustees and senior management on governance, legal structuring, and statutory obligations.

Documentation & Compliance
- Draft, vet, and review all agreements, MoUs, contracts, affidavits, deeds, and legal correspondence
- Maintain and audit complete legal documentation of the Trust and all its institutions
- Ensure timely filings with Charity Commissioner, Registrar, Courts, Government Bodies, and Regulatory Authorities

Litigation & Legal Strategy
- Coordinate with external counsels for ongoing litigation
- Prepare briefs, documentation, and case strategy for court matters
- Track cases, notices, and legal deadlines across all Trust entities

Property & Institutional Matters
- Handle legal documentation related to land, leases, licenses, conveyance deeds, and property disputes
- Ensure clear title documentation and compliance for Trust-owned properties
- Support expansion, acquisition, and institutional development from a legal standpoint





Regulatory & Education Law
- Advise on compliance related to UGC, AICTE, MCI/NMC, INC, PCI, NAAC, NBA, and other regulators
- Review statutory approvals, affiliations, and inspections from a legal lens
- Support new institutions, programs and approvals

Risk Management

- Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Ensure preventive legal compliance to avoid disputes
- Maintain confidentiality and always uphold the Trusts reputation

Preferred candidate profile

Experience Required

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer, with proven experience handling trusts, societies, or large educational institutions.

- LL.B. (Mandatory)
- LL.M. preferred
- Registered with the Bar Council of India

Strong command over Trust Law, Education Law, Property Law, Contract Law
- Excellent drafting, interpretation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle complex, multi-institution legal structures
- High integrity, discretion, and accountability
- Solid coordination skills with trustees, management, government offices, and advocates
