Role Description The Legal Manager will oversee and manage legal affairs related to KMPL’s vehicle finance and Loan Against Property businesses, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents, agreements, and contracts, and providing legal opinions to internal stakeholders on business transactions and product structures. The role involves monitoring regulatory changes, advising on legal compliance, and supporting risk mitigation strategies across operations and branches.





The Legal

Manager will liaise with external legal counsel as needed, coordinate responses to notices or litigation, and maintain accurate legal records and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring close collaboration with business, operations, credit, and compliance teams.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law with experience handling Legal Affairs in financial services or banking.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including contracts, agreements, and legal notices.
- Experience in Legal Consulting, providing practical legal advice to business and operational teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in Legal Compliance, including regulatory interpretation and policy implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); LL.M or specialization in corporate/financial law is an advantage.
- Experience in NBFC or banking sector, particularly vehicle finance or mortgage/loan against property, preferred.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations, solid analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and high professional integrity.
