Job Position

Summary

Maritime Lawyer to support the group in review of ship management related contracts and dispute management Key Roles and Responsibilities

Review of ship management contracts such as Shipman, Crewman, Superman and Managers Undertaking

Review of crewing related documentation such as manning agreements, seafarer employment agreements





Dispute Management

Review of miscellaneous contracts

Updating internal polices such as sanctions SOP

Keeping abreast of changes in maritime laws and sanctions Relationship (mostly Internal and or External) and Nature of Communication

Direct and sole reporting line will be to the Group Legal Director

Liaise with various stakeholders such as the business development team, new building team, manning team and vessel management team Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications

Qualification – LLB from a reputed law school in India and LLM in maritime law

6-10 years of work experience with a tier 1 or 2 law firm in their shipping practice or in-house in a shipping company Competencies

Good communication in English Language.
