We are looking for a proactive and experienced Legal Associate - Real Estate to join the Multicon Group in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience with strong exposure to real estate legal matters, while also supporting the Group’s other business entities.

The role involves handling legal research, due diligence, drafting, compliance, and dispute resolution, litigation with a primary focus on property-related matters. Robust exposure to litigation and court proceedings is required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Provide legal support across all Multicon Group entities, with major responsibility for real estate transactions, compliance, and dispute management.
- Conduct in-depth research on laws including RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Rent Control Act, Stamp Duty regulations, and other relevant statutes.
- Offer timely advice on contracts,



property acquisition, and regulatory issues.
- Draft, vet, and review contracts and agreements such as sale deeds, lease agreements, conveyance deeds, MoUs, and joint venture agreements.
- Ensure all documents meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out property due diligence including title checks, encumbrance verifications, and compliance assessments.
- Prepare risk reports and ensure adherence to legal standards.
- Support compliance requirements across other entities (education, financial services, etc.) as and when needed.
- Coordinate with external lawyers for litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
- Draft legal notices, petitions, and responses for property and business disputes.
- Manage filings with courts, tribunals, and authorities.
- Provide day-to-day advisory on operational and commercial matters for different business entities.
- Maintain proper records of contracts, property documents, and legal cases.
- Keep track of legal developments impacting real estate and other business sectors of the Group.

Qualifications:

- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- LLB (Bachelor of Law) from a recognized institution; Bar Council enrolment preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in legal roles, with substantial exposure to real estate-related legal matters.
- Strong knowledge of RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Rent Control Act, Stamp Duty, and arbitration.
- Proven skills in contract drafting, due diligence, litigation support, and compliance management.
- Ability to handle diverse legal work across multiple industries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
