Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, result-oriented Manager – Learning & Development to spearhead the technical and functional training landscape at Emami Frank Ross Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of training initiatives, with a specialized focus on pharma product knowledge, retail operational excellence, and organizational capability building.
You will bridge the gap between technical requirements and retail performance, ensuring our workforce is equipped to deliver exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical & Pharma Domain Training
· Pharma Product Expertise:
Lead comprehensive training programs on pharmaceutical products, including branded generics, OTC (Over-the-Counter) medications, and private label drug portfolios.
· Technical Compliance:
Conduct rigorous training on critical drug handling, storage protocols, and regulatory compliance standards to ensure safety and adherence to statutory guidelines.
· Non-Pharma Portfolio:
Develop and facilitate product training for the private label non-pharma range, ensuring staff can effectively cross-sell and educate customers.
2. Operational & Systems Excellence
· Retail Workflow Optimization:
Design and implement training modules on retail system workflows to maximize operational accuracy, minimize billing errors, and improve inventory management at the store level.
· Software Proficiency:
Oversee training for internal ERPs, Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and any relevant digital tools used across retail outlets.
· Sales & Service Training:
Develop soft-skill and sales-technique training programs specifically tailored to the pharmacy retail environment to enhance customer engagement and conversion rates.
3. Strategic L&D; Operations
· Training Needs Analysis (TNA):
Conduct periodic and systematic Training Needs Identification and Analysis (TNIA) across all regions to identify skill gaps and organizational requirements.
· Planning & Execution:
Develop an annual/quarterly training calendar and manage end-to-end coordination, logistics, and resource allocation.
· Content Creation:
Design, curate, and update high-quality training content, including presentations, manuals, digital modules, and assessment tools.
· On-the-Job Training (OJT):
Lead and supervise OJT initiatives directly at retail stores, ensuring the practical application of classroom learning in a live retail environment.
4. Leadership & Management
· Team Management:
Provide mentorship and direction to the L&D; team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and career development of team members.
· Performance Metrics:
Establish KPIs for training effectiveness (e.g., knowledge retention, performance improvement scores) and provide regular reporting to the management.
Candidate Profile
· Experience:
4–8 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably within the Pharmaceutical Retail or FMCG sector.
· Education:
Graduate/Post-Graduate in Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm) is highly preferred, given the technical nature of the product training.
· Skills:
o Deep understanding of pharmaceutical products and retail store operations.
o Proven ability in instructional design and content development.
o Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
o Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
o Proficiency in MS Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
