About SEWB :

SEWB is building a global AI-powered preventive healthcare ecosystem spanning mobile, web, cloud, AI, healthcare integrations and enterprise platforms. We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Technical Architect to define and govern the technology architecture while remaining deeply hands-on in backend engineering and critical technical decisions.

Role Overview :

This is a hands-on architecture leadership role. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end technical architecture across backend services, APIs, cloud infrastructure, AI integrations, security, data platforms and engineering standards. Approximately 6070% of the role will involve architecture, design reviews and hands-on backend engineering, with the remaining time dedicated to mentoring, governance and technical leadership.

Experience :

- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect or Principal Engineer.
- Experience architecting enterprise SaaS, HealthTech or other regulated platforms.
- Strong record of leading engineering teams and complex technical transformations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own the enterprise architecture for SEWB across mobile, backend, cloud, AI and data platforms.
- Design scalable microservices, event-driven systems and API-first architectures.
- Define engineering standards, reference architectures, reusable frameworks and governance.
- Architect secure authentication, authorisation, encryption, IAM/RBAC, OAuth2 and JWT solutions.
- Lead cloud-native architecture using Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP with Infrastructure as Code and Kubernetes.
- Partner with Product Management, Technical Business Analysts and Engineering to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Guide integration of AI/LLMs, vector databases and intelligent services into the platform.
- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews,



technical mentoring and proof-of-concepts.
- Improve scalability, resilience, observability, disaster recovery and platform performance.
- Drive technical debt reduction, platform modernisation and engineering excellence.

Core Technical Expertise :

- Expert Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS/Express.js and backend architecture.
- Distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture and messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, caching and high-throughput data platforms.
- Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD and DevSecOps.
- REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, API Gateways and API lifecycle management.
- Azure, AWS or GCP cloud architecture.
- LLM integrations, AI APIs, MCP concepts and vector databases (desirable).
- Observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Sentry or equivalent.

Leadership Expectations :

- Mentor architects, technical leads and senior engineers.
- Drive architecture governance and technical decision making.
- Influence engineering strategy aligned with SEWB's long-term product vision.
- Communicate complex architectural concepts to technical and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
- Master's degree desirable.
- Qualified certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Solutions Architect, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD), TOGAF or equivalent highly desirable.

First 90-Day Deliverables :

- Review and document the current SEWB architecture.
- Publish a target-state architecture roadmap.
- Define architecture standards and engineering guardrails.
- Lead implementation of one major architectural improvement.
- Establish architecture review and governance processes.
