Role Description The Lead Mechanical Engineer will oversee the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment for industrial projects.

Responsibilities include leading mechanical design activities, reviewing and approving engineering drawings, coordinating CAD work, and guiding R&D; efforts for new solutions and process improvements. The role will manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and clients.

The Lead Mechanical

Engineer will mentor junior engineers,



support site teams during installation and commissioning, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and standards. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Mumbai, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with applied experience in industrial projects and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, simulation, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D;), including evaluating recent technologies, improving existing designs, and supporting innovation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and codes, safety practices, and quality management systems (ISO preferred).
- Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, work in a hybrid environment, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and documentation quality.
