We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to drive the design and development of enterprise-grade banking applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java-based backend development, microservices architecture, and a strong understanding of banking and financial services systems. You will lead a team of developers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and play a critical role in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that support business-critical operations.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about software engineering best practices, architectural excellence, and mentoring engineering teams while delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend applications using Java and up-to-date frameworks.

Architect and implement microservices-based solutions that are secure, resilient, and highly available.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.

Drive technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices across development teams.

Mentor and guide developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and software design principles.

Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services for banking and financial applications.





Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous improvements.

Integrate applications with internal and external banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party services.

Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards applicable to the banking industry.

Participate in production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.

Contribute to CI/CD implementation and promote DevOps practices for efficient software delivery.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing platforms and processes.

RequirementsMust-have Skills

8–12 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8/11/17, Multithreading, Collections, Streams, and JVM internals.

Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.

Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices architecture.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, API Gateway, service discovery, circuit breakers, and distributed systems.

Solid experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.

Strong understanding of banking applications such as payments,



lending, retail banking, treasury, trade finance, or core banking platforms.

Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

Strong knowledge of SQL, database optimization, and transaction management.

Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.

Experience working with Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean architecture.

Good-to-have Skills

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed messaging systems.

Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.

Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and enterprise security practices.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.

Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.

Experience leading distributed engineering teams and large-scale enterprise projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
