Qualification: DMLT / BMLT / B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Technology) or equivalent from a recognized institute.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood and other biological samples from patients using standard procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations in Hematology, Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Serology, and Immunology.
- Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers.
- Record, verify, and report laboratory test results accurately and within defined timelines.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), NABL guidelines, and quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and biosafety standards in the laboratory.
- Monitor reagent inventory and coordinate timely procurement of laboratory consumables.
- Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with Biomedical Waste Management Rules.
- Assist doctors and healthcare professionals by providing timely laboratory reports.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations.
- Participate in internal quality control and external quality assurance programs.
- Support preventive health check-up camps, corporate wellness programs,
and community healthcare initiatives as required.
Required Skills
- Sound knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in operating laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment.
- Good understanding of infection control and laboratory safety practices.
- Robust analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in NABL-accredited laboratories.
- Knowledge of quality management systems.
- Experience in preventive health screening programs.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and field-based health camps.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- DMLT/BMLT/B.Sc. MLT qualified.
- Registered with the applicable State Paramedical Council (if required).
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- Willing to travel for health camps and screening programs whenever required.
- Knowledge of MS Office and Laboratory Information Systems will be an added advantage.
