Job Title: Lab Chemist

Department: Quality Control (QC) / R&D; / Production

Location: Dahej

Job Summary The Lab Chemist is responsible for conducting chemical analysis, testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role also involves maintaining laboratory equipment, documentation, and following laboratory safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Prepare reagents, standard solutions, and test samples.
- Operate laboratory instruments such as pH meter, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, GC, and analytical balances (as applicable).
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately.
- Maintain laboratory records, calibration logs, and test reports.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP/GLP, ISO, and safety guidelines.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS)



results and support corrective actions.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory chemicals and consumables.
- Support internal and external quality audits.

Qualifications
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques and laboratory safety practices.
- Familiarity with MS Office and laboratory documentation.
