L2 Security Engineer - Trend Micro Deep Security / Trellix / FIM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced L2 Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in Trend Micro Deep Security, Trellix endpoint security solutions, Antivirus (AV), and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM). The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, administration, troubleshooting, alert handling, policy support, and operational maintenance of enterprise endpoint security infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support Trend Micro Deep Security and Trellix security infrastructure.

Monitor Antivirus (AV), endpoint security, and File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) alerts.

Perform policy configuration, tuning, and maintenance for AV and FIM solutions.

Support deployment, installation, and upgrade of security agents.

Monitor endpoint protection dashboards and investigate security alerts.

Support malware analysis, threat investigation, and remediation activities.

Monitor unauthorized file and registry changes using Trend Micro FIM.

Fine-tune security policies to reduce false positives.

Generate operational, security, and compliance reports.

Security Operations

Analyze endpoint security incidents and suspicious activities.

Support SOC teams during incident investigation and remediation.

Perform log analysis and event correlation.

Escalate critical security incidents to L3/security teams.

Ensure endpoint security controls align with organizational security standards.

Platform Support & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot agent communication, update failures, and policy deployment issues.

Support installation, patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.





Monitor system health, storage, and performance.

Coordinate with server, desktop, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.

Perform backup and restoration support activities.

Compliance & Monitoring

Support compliance monitoring related to PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and security policies.

Maintain audit logs and security monitoring reports.

Ensure proper documentation and evidence collection for audit requirements.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with Trend Micro Deep Security and Trellix endpoint security solutions.

Knowledge of Antivirus (AV), EDR, and endpoint protection concepts.

Robust understanding of File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) and integrity monitoring policies.

Experience with malware analysis, alert management, and policy tuning.

Basic Windows/Linux administration knowledge.

Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, SSL/TLS, and firewall concepts.

Experience with SIEM integration and security monitoring.

Trend Micro Certified Professional

Trellix/McAfee Certification

Security+

CEH (Preferred)

ITIL Foundation

Experience & Qualification

3-6 years of cybersecurity or endpoint security experience.

Minimum 2+ years of Trend Micro/Trellix administration and support experience.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

Good to Have

Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.

Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.

Exposure to cloud security environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Understanding of compliance frameworks and audit requirements.
