KTA Pilot Electrical Maintenance – Paint Shop

Reports to Position

- OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for improving the uptime of Plant equipment (non-OPE performance) for availability of machine to production.

Responsible for rollout and implement maintenance techniques of reliability centered maintenance and predictive maintenance to increase the performance and life of equipment.

Responsible for systematic analyse of repeated machine breakdowns and take PCA to improve MTBF and MTTR.

To implement the bench marking maintenance standards, equipment processes and TPM.

To increase the efficiency of PM by upskilling operations and maintenance team

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Description

Responsible for improving the uptime of Plant equipment (non-OPE performance) for availability of machine to production.

Trouble shooting of Paint Shop machines and SPM machines mechanical breakdowns with in very stipulated time.

Systematic analyse of repeated machine breakdowns and take PCA to improve MTBF and MTTR.

Responsible for rollout and implement reliability centered maintenance to increase machine performance and life.





Analyse historical downtime data and plan and implement reliability centered maintenance to eliminate issues permanently.

Responsible for rollout and implement predictive and prescriptive maintenance of plant equipment.

Analyse historical downtime data and predictive the failures and Time-based maintenance for early detection and rectification.

.

Responsible to increase the efficiency of PM by upskilling operations and maintenance team.

Analyse the breakdown between PM and identify the root cause of the issue which is not identified in PM.

Incorporate failure check point not identified during PM for increase PM efficiency.

Upskill production and maintenance team on maintenance domain to find out issues during PM.

Responsible for MFMEA and prepare SOP for breakdowns and PM for each machine.

Responsible for IATF documentation & auditing, TPM and Best practice implementation

KNOWLEDGE IN PAINT SHOP MACHINES MAINTENANCE

Pretreatment (PT) systems & Hanger/carriers

Electro Deposition (ED/E-Coat) systems

Paint circulation and supply systems

Spray booths (manual and robotic)

Paint kitchen and paint mixing systems

Robots, Bell applicators and electrostatic spray equipment

Paint pumps and dosing systems

Air handling units (AHU)

Dry-off ovens, curing ovens, and baking ovens

Conveyors (Skid, Power & Free, Monorail, Floor Conveyors)

Dip tanks and chemical dosing systems

Sludge removal systems

Water treatment systems

Sealant and PVC application equipment

Wax injection systems (where applicable)

- COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Work together with stakeholders of Central maintenance, production, quality, process and of machine manufacturers to support production continuity and quality issues.

Collaborating with machine manufacturing and service provides for quick breakdown resolution.





Work together with safety officer for machine safety deviation rectification.

Daily Cooperative participation in real time monitoring meeting like spare parts, Preventive maintenance and problem resolving.

DMR reporting with production and maintenance team.

- Performance INDICATORS (INDICATIVE):

Zero accident and quality & process deviations due machines performance.

Uptime of Plant equipment (non-OPE performance)

Bench marking MTTR and MTBF.

Improve the reliability of machines for improved performance and life (MTBF).

Improve PM efficiency and RCA & PCA for breakdowns.

Cost controlling of repair & maintenance (CPU) and minimal spares inventory.

Cost saving through in-house repair and spare parts localization.

Continuous improvement projects and best practices implementation.

- QUALIFICATIONS, eXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

QUALIFICATION

Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering (Electricals)

EXPERIENCE

10-12 Yrs of Experience in Paint shop maintenance

At least minimum 3 years’ experience in leading shift maintenance in automotive industries

6-8 Years of Experience in automobile or related industry

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Paint shop process equipment maintenance

PLC, HMI, and SCADA troubleshooting

Industrial robotics & Instrumentation and process control

Pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Pumps, valves, blowers, and conveyors

Industrial HVAC and utility systems

Preventive and predictive maintenance

CMMS software

Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

TPM and Lean Manufacturing

AutoCAD (preferred) & MS Office
