Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Industrial Designer with 1–3 years of skilled experience to join our product development team. You will work closely with senior designers and engineers to conceptualize, develop, prototype, and refine products from idea to production.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on product design, has strong visualization skills, and wants to see their ideas become commercially manufactured products.

Responsibilities

- Develop creative product concepts through sketches, CAD models, and renderings.
- Create 3D models and production-ready designs for current products.
- Prepare technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to ensure designs are production-friendly.
- Participate in prototyping, testing, and design refinement.
- Conduct research on materials, manufacturing processes, market trends, and competitor products.
- Assist in developing CMF (Color, Material & Finish) strategies.
- Support packaging, presentation, and product launch assets when required.




- Visit factories and production units to understand manufacturing processes and improve product quality.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design from NID, NIFT, or an equivalent reputed design institute.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in Industrial/Product Design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing product design projects from concept to execution.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Creo, or similar 3D CAD software.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, injection molding, die casting, and finishing processes.
- Ability to create high-quality product renderings using KeyShot or similar software.
- Strong sketching, visualization, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with consumer products, furniture, lifestyle products, lighting, or metal fabrication.
- Knowledge of rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
- Basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Passion for designing premium products with strong attention to aesthetics and user experience.
