Junior Industrial Designer Legend of Toys • Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (On site) About Us Legend of Toys is a Bangalore based brand redefining the toys market in India through products that combine creativity, engineering, and craftsmanship.

The Role We are looking for a Junior Industrial Designer to join our growing design team. This role is ideal for someone with strong design fundamentals, creative thinking, and a passion for designing physical products.

You will be involved throughout the product development journey, from research and ideation to CAD modeling, visualization, prototyping, testing, and preparing designs for manufacturing. You will work closely with senior designers and the production team to bring ideas to life while learning real world product development processes.

Many of our products are manufactured using CO₂ laser cutting. While you are not expected to operate the machine professionally, you should have a basic understanding of the laser cutting process, how production files are prepared, and the key considerations involved in designing products for manufacturing.

What You'll Do • Design and develop original toys, mechanical kits, wooden puzzles, and consumer products.

- Explore concepts through sketching, brainstorming, and design iterations.
- Create accurate 3D CAD models using Fusion 360 or similar software.
- Prepare clean production ready vector files in DXF, SVG, and AI formats.
- Develop realistic product renders, exploded views, assembly instructions, and presentation material.
- Design products while considering material selection, manufacturing methods, tolerances, kerf, joinery, and press fit assemblies.
- Build and evaluate prototypes, test ideas, and refine designs based on feedback.




- Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and ready for production.
- Maintain organized CAD models, production files, and project documentation.

What We're Looking For • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong design thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to transform ideas into thoughtful and manufacturable products.
- Good visualization skills with the ability to communicate ideas through sketches, CAD models, renders, and presentations.
- A solid understanding of product design fundamentals including form, function, ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Fusion 360 or another 3D CAD software.
- Basic understanding of 3D rendering and visualization using KeyShot, Blender, Fusion Render, or similar software.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to create clean vector artwork and production ready manufacturing files.
- Basic understanding of CO₂ laser cutting workflows, including vector file preparation, material thickness, kerf, tolerances, press fit assemblies, and nesting. Experience operating a laser cutter is not required, but an understanding of the process is important.
- Solid attention to detail,



curiosity, and a willingness to learn through prototyping, testing, and feedback.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to Have • Experience designing products for laser cutting.

- Familiarity with LightBurn or RDWorks.
- Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
- Knowledge of packaging design or visual communication.
- Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies, gears, or moving mechanisms.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong design thinking, CAD skills, visualization, and an interest in developing physical products.

Employment Details Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka (On site)

Employment Type: Full time

Compensation: ₹5.0 to ₹5.4 LPA CTC (based on skills, portfolio, and interview performance)
