Maintenance Manager – Elevators & Lifts

Mandatory Requirement: Direct experience in the elevator/lift service and maintenance industry is compulsory. Candidates without relevant elevator-industry experience will not be considered.

Role Purpose The Maintenance Manager will lead the safe, reliable and effective maintenance of the Company’s elevator portfolio. The position carries responsibility for preventive maintenance, breakdown performance, field-team productivity, customer satisfaction, technical escalation and service quality.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance, breakdown and repair activities across the assigned portfolio.
- Lead maintenance engineers and technicians, including route allocation, emergency rosters, field supervision, training and performance reviews.
- Ensure timely handling of breakdowns and passenger-rescue calls, with clear escalation of prolonged or safety-critical shutdowns.
- Investigate repeat failures, guide technical troubleshooting and improve first-time-fix performance and equipment reliability.
- Conduct site and safety audits and ensure compliance with prescribed procedures, statutory requirements and quality standards.
- Review repair requirements, spare-part requests and major technical recommendations.
- Manage customer communication,



resolve service escalations and provide visibility of pending repairs and shutdowns.
- Ensure accurate and timely service reporting through FieldCircle or the prescribed system.
- Monitor manpower utilisation, material consumption, callback costs and operational efficiency.
- Support AMC retention, repair proposals and modernisation opportunities arising from the maintenance portfolio.

Candidate Profile
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-4 years of direct experience in elevator/lift maintenance and service operations.
- At least 2 years of experience leading engineers or field technicians.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of elevator systems, safety devices, preventive maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage multiple sites, field teams, customers and technical escalations.
- Comfortable using digital service-management and reporting systems.
- Willing to travel and remain available for critical operational escalations.

General maintenance experience in facilities, HVAC, MEP, manufacturing or electrical systems will not be treated as a substitute for elevator/lift-industry experience.

Safety compliance, scheduled maintenance completion, breakdown response, restoration time, repeat callbacks, equipment uptime, customer satisfaction, reporting discipline, team productivity and responsible cost management.
