Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Java Software Engineer at grabdemo.

The Java Software

Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and microservices that power the grabdemo platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing current features, improving system performance, writing clean and testable code, and collaborating with product and engineering teammates to deliver robust solutions. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, participating in code reviews, and contributing to architectural decisions that support scale and reliability.

Qualifications

- Strong software development foundations,



including experience with Software Development best practices and general Programming concepts.
- Proficiency in Java and related backend technologies, with the ability to build and maintain production-grade services.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices architectures, including designing, deploying, and monitoring distributed systems.
- Practical experience with the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring Data) for building scalable Java applications.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, and version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests, and work with CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable deployments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in SaaS or B2B product development and an interest in sales tooling or go-to-market technologies is a plus.
