Java Developer with Azure Cloud Expertise and Frontend Exposure

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with strong expertise in Azure cloud services, cloud migration, and enterprise application modernization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining Java applications using Spring Boot, with proficiency in Azure services including AKS, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, and related Azure SDK components. The candidate should also have frontend exposure in either React.js or Angular to support integration of backend services with modern web applications.

PRIMARY SKILLS (Must Have)

1. Java/Spring Boot Development

- Strong foundation in backend development with Java frameworks.
- Expertise in Spring Boot for building microservices and enterprise-level applications.
- Experience in migrating and modernizing legacy Java applications to cloud-native architecture.

1. Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestrating applications in Kubernetes environments on Azure.
- Proficiency in deploying and scaling Java applications in AKS clusters.
- Experience with Docker, Helm Charts, and container registries such as Azure Container Registry (ACR).

1. Azure Cloud Services

- Azure Key Vault (AKV) for secrets management and secure configuration.
- Azure Functions for serverless computing and event-driven applications.
- Azure Service Bus for message queuing and enterprise integration.
- Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation and integration.
- Azure Blob Storage for data storage and management.
- Hands-on experience integrating Java applications with Azure SDK components.

1. CI/CD Pipeline and DevOps

- Solid experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for code deployment.




- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Bicep.
- Knowledge of automated build and release pipeline configuration.

1. Azure Migration Experience (Preferred)

- Experience in cloud migration projects, including on-premises or AWS to Azure migration.
- Understanding of migration strategies, assessment, planning, and execution.
- Familiarity with Azure Migrate and related migration tools.

1. Frontend Development Exposure (React.js / Angular)

- Hands-on experience or working exposure to modern frontend frameworks such as React.js or Angular.
- Understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web application development.
- Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs from frontend applications.
- Ability to collaborate with UI/UX teams and integrate frontend components with Java-based backend services.
- Exposure to component-based architecture, state management, routing, forms, validation, and frontend debugging techniques.

SECONDARY SKILLS (Good to Have)
- Experience with Kafka or Azure Event Hub for event streaming.
- Knowledge of REST/Graph API design and implementation.
- Python scripting for automation tasks.
- Experience with Azure Container Instances (ACI).
- Familiarity with Azure API Management (APIM).
- Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Experience with Cosmos DB or Azure SQL Database.
- Additional exposure to frontend build tools, package managers, or UI testing frameworks is desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and microservices.




- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code deployment.
- Integrate applications with Azure services such as Key Vault, Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps, and Blob Storage.
- Participate in cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transition to Azure.
- Develop and build operational data hubs and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with architects and onshore leads to build technical solutions.
- Collaborate with frontend teams and contribute to UI development using React.js or Angular as required.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with frontend applications to deliver seamless end-user experiences.
- Participate in full-stack solution design discussions, ensuring efficient integration between frontend and backend components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and performance issues.
- Ensure security best practices in application development and deployment.
- Document technical designs, processes, and operational procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- 3+ years of experience with Azure cloud services.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Working knowledge of frontend technologies including React.js or Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in full-stack development environments is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills for customer-facing interactions.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.

CERTIFICATIONS (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE.
- Kubernetes Certified Developer (CKD) or Administrator (CKA).
