Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Architect with 10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in an architecture role, to lead enterprise-scale modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, React/Angular, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and experience in legacy mainframe modernization. The role involves designing scalable, domain-driven architectures, leading migration strategies, defining API standards, and collaborating with enterprise architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the target-state architecture for migrating legacy mainframe (CICS/IMS/3270) applications into a modern domain-driven, microservices-based platform.
- Analyze existing mainframe screens, transaction flows, and embedded business logic to define equivalent modern API contracts and UI workflows.
- Design domain-driven bounded contexts and service boundaries aligned with business domains.
- Define screen-to-service decomposition strategies for converting legacy transactions into microservices.
- Architect one-way synchronization between legacy and modern platforms using CDC/Event-driven patterns (Pub/Sub, Datastream, Dataflow).
- Design business-managed user interfaces using React or Angular to replace legacy screen-based applications.
- Provide technical leadership for Java (Spring Boot) microservices and front-end architecture.
- Define enterprise API standards, reusable integration patterns, CI/CD frameworks, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Lead parallel-run and reconciliation testing strategies before production cutover.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams and present architecture decisions to governance boards.
- Guide release planning while ensuring SOX-compliant deployment strategies.




- Mentor development teams and enforce architecture best practices, coding standards, and governance.

Required Skills & Experience

- 10 years of software engineering experience with 5 years as an Architect.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
- Experience in migrating legacy mainframe applications (CICS, IMS, 3270 transactions) to distributed cloud-native architectures.
- Working knowledge of mainframe technologies including: COBOL | PL/I | VSAM | DB2 (z/OS) | JCL
- Strong expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Bounded Contexts, and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including:
- Cloud Run
- GKE
- Pub/Sub
- Dataflow
- Datastream
- Cloud Spanner / Cloud SQL
- Apigee
- Experience with React.js or Angular architecture and component-based UI development.
- Experience designing Change Data Capture (CDC) and batch-based synchronization solutions.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, API versioning, and hybrid integration patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy) and Terraform (IaC).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present architecture solutions to enterprise review boards.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in enterprise-scale cloud migration programs.
- Exposure to insurance, banking, or financial services domains.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with architecture governance and enterprise modernization initiatives.
