Job Title: ITI Fitter

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated ITI Fitter to assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment, fixtures, and machine components. The candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, use hand and power tools, and ensure all work is completed safely and accurately while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble, fit, and install mechanical components and machine parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Perform marking, measuring, cutting, drilling, filing, tapping, threading, and grinding operations.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and replace defective components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges.
- Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and functionality of mechanical assemblies.
- Assist in machine installation, commissioning, and equipment shifting.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and 5S practices.
- Maintain daily work reports and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with Production,



Quality, and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.

Qualification
- ITI in Fitter Trade from a recognized institute.
- NCVT/SCVT certification preferred.

Experience
- Freshers to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, automation, fabrication, or machine assembly.
- Apprenticeship experience will be an added advantage.

Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical fitting techniques.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of bearings, couplings, shafts, gear assemblies, and mechanical components.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Teamwork and valuable communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Industrial Automation Company)
- Mechanical assembly of control panels, machine frames, or automation equipment.
- Experience in conveyor assembly, machine installation, and alignment.
- Basic welding knowledge.
- Exposure to industrial safety practices.
