Role Description The IT Infrastructure Support Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company’s core IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud or hybrid environments.

Daily tasks include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user access and security, and ensuring backups and disaster recovery procedures are in place and tested. The engineer will collaborate with other technical teams to implement upgrades,



deploy current services, and document configurations and procedures. The role also involves responding to incidents and service requests, adhering to security and compliance standards, and continuously improving reliability and efficiency of infrastructure services.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and storage technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms or virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, or similar) and basic scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices, access management, backup and recovery, and monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in an on-site environment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, prioritize tasks, and support users in a professional and timely manner.
- Strong documentation skills and experience working with ITIL-based or structured support processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or cloud certifications) are an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional, global team environment.
