Biotastic Health Systems (Ice Code Recovery)
Chennai Metropolitan Area
Biotastic builds and sells premium wellness equipment — ice baths, cold plunges, saunas, red light therapy and HBOT — trusted by JW Marriott, Shangri-La, FC Goa and 200+ HNI homes. We're now designing and delivering integrated wellness spaces — biohacking lounges, longevity rooms and custom recovery suites — inside luxury projects.
We're bringing on interns to support our Design + Build team on a live project: helping the studio nail quality finishing and material selection for premium recovery spaces. You'll work directly alongside the Project Architect, getting real exposure to how a wellness space goes from drawing to delivered site — not just observing, but producing work that ships.
What You'll Work On (Shared across both tracks):
- Support material and finish selection — sourcing samples, building comparison boards, checking specs against premium-brand standards
- Assist in quality-finishing checks — reviewing vendor samples, cladding, joinery and surface finishes against design intent
- Help maintain a material/vendor reference library (swatches, spec sheets, price benchmarks)
- Support BOQ prep and vendor quote comparisons under the Project Architect's direction
- Sit in on site walks and builder meetings when scheduling allows, to connect studio work to what's actually getting built
Track A — Architecture Intern (design + drawing support)
- Support space planning, concept layouts and GFC drawing revisions in AutoCAD/SketchUp
- Help translate developer briefs and floor plans into working drawings
- Assist with MEP coordination notes (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) for ice baths, saunas and recovery equipment
Track B — Interior Design Intern (finishing + specification support)
- Build mood boards, finish schedules and material specification sheets
- Research and shortlist premium finishes, cladding, fixtures and fittings
- Support styling and detailing decisions for finished spaces (fit-out level, not just structure)
Skills & Experience
Mandatory
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- Working knowledge of at least one or two of: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (we'll train the rest)
- An eye for premium materials and finishes — can tell good detailing from average
- Comfortable researching vendors, comparing specs, and documenting decisions clearly
- Based in or able to commute to Chennai for the internship
Good-to-have
- SketchUp or Revit rendering experience
- Prior internship in hospitality, wellness, retail or residential fit-out
- Exposure to BOQ prep or vendor coordination
- Interest in wellness, spa, or biohacking spaces specifically
Biotastic Culture & Expectations
- Speed — We move fast. If a vendor sample is needed, we chase it same-day, not "by end of week."
- Systems — Every material decision gets documented — spec sheet, price, vendor contact — not left in a WhatsApp thread.
- Learning — You'll be thrown into real project decisions from week one. We expect quick learning curves, not hand-holding.
- Ownership — Once a task is yours (a mood board, a vendor comparison), you own it end-to-end until it's usable by the team.
- Integrity — Flag a bad finish or a missed spec early. We'd rather hear "this won't work" now than find out on-site.
Compensation & Duration
- Duration: 3 months (Paid)
- Location: Chennai studio, with occasional site visits within the city for material/finish verification
- Track: Specify Architecture or Interior Design when applying (or both, if open to either)
How to Apply Send your portfolio (academic or personal projects are fine — built work is a bonus) + a short note on why wellness/hospitality design interests you.
