Role & responsibilities

- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of field instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and attend breakdowns of various field instruments.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting of Control Valves, Shutdown Valves (SDV), Positioners, I/P Converters and SOVs.
- Maintenance and checking of Gas Detectors, Analysers and safety-related instrumentation.
- Perform instrument zero checking and functional checks.
- Identify and rectify cable-related issues at Junction Boxes, Control Room and Intermediate JBs.
- Carry out transmitter configuration after replacement and restore the instrument to normal operation.
- Handle Foundation Fieldbus (FF) and Wireless transmitter configuration and maintenance.
- Assist in installation/removal of small-size control valves, transmitters, I/P converters, positioners,



SOVs and other instrumentation.
- Perform instrument loop checking and troubleshooting.
- Read and understand P&ID;, Instrument Datasheets, GA drawings, PDB, Cause & Effect, Logic and Loop Drawings.
- Use portable calibration equipment such as TREX or equivalent calibrators.
- Coordinate with the client Engineer-in-Charge for assigned maintenance activities.
- Maintain daily job records, logbooks and maintenance reports.
- Support plant start-up, shutdown and emergency maintenance activities.
- Follow approved SOPs, PM checklists, work permits and refinery safety procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping after completion of work.
- Work independently as well as in a team during general shift and shutdown activities.
- Candidate may be required to work beyond normal working hours during emergencies/shutdowns.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical plants.
- Experience with DCS/PLC systems.
- Experience with HART / Foundation Fieldbus / Wireless instrumentation.
- Experience with TREX or similar portable calibrators.
- Experience with control valves, SDVs, positioners and SOVs.
- Experience in shutdown maintenance.
