Job Title: Incoming Quality Inspector Harness (IQC)

Department: QA – IQC

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled IQC Inspector (Harness) to support incoming quality inspection activities. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting wire harnesses and related raw materials as per drawings, BOM, and workmanship standards, with strong knowledge of crimp quality, pin mapping, continuity checks, and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect harness as per drawing, pin mapping, and workmanship standards

Verify wires (AWG, color), connectors, terminals, HST, sleeves, and accessories

Check crimp quality, terminal locking, wire stripping, and insulation condition

Perform continuity/short checks and connector retention checks

Identify crimping, soldering, and harness dressing defects

Maintain IQC records, segregation of NG, and raise NCR

Coordinate with Stores, Production, and Vendors for quality issues

Incoming inspection of harness raw materials (wires, terminals, connectors, HST, sleeves)

Verification of approved make, MPN, and lot traceability

Check labeling, identification tags, and revision control

Ensure proper workmanship as per quality standards





Support root cause analysis with defect evidence (photos/reports)

Required Skills

1–2 years in harness inspection/quality

Knowledge of crimping standards, crimp height, and pull test concepts

Ability to read harness drawings and pin configuration

Understanding of harness raw materials and workmanship quality

Knowledge of ESD and safe handling practices

Valuable documentation and reporting skills

Attention to detail and defect identification capability

Basic computer knowledge for report entry and tracking•

Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and BOM

Basic knowledge of connectors, terminals, and electrical components

Basic Excel ,Word

Basic knowledge of multimeter usage for continuity testing

Understanding of wire stripping methods to avoid strand damage

Awareness of common crimp defects (over-crimp, under-crimp, strand cut)

Knowledge of inspection tools: vernier, crimp height gauge

Communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams

Qualification

Diploma in Mechanical / ECE / EEE

ITI (Electrical / Electronics) with relevant harness inspection experience can also apply
