Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Power Units & Systems Servicing Engineer to lead and execute field and workshop service operations. This role focuses on the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and overhaul of complex hydraulic systems and power units. The ideal candidate possesses deep practical knowledge of hydraulic circuits, components (pumps, proportional/servo valves, cylinders, manifolds), and integrated electromechanical controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning: Oversee and execute in office installation and commissioning of Hydraulic Power Units (HPUs), manifold blocks, and integrated hydraulic circuits.
Servicing & Overhaul: Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance; overhaul pumps, valves, cylinders, filters, and accumulators to original factory specs.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Systematically diagnose and resolve failures in open and closed-loop hydraulic circuits.
Component & Control Handling: Service electro-hydraulic components, including sensors, switches, proportional/servo valves, and basic electrical control elements.
Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret complex hydraulic circuit diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings for rapid fault isolation.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Perform system pressure/flow testing, validate operating parameters, and ensure full compliance with safety standards.
Documentation: Generate detailed field service reports, maintenance logs, root-cause analysis reports, and customer acceptance sign-offs.
Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to clients on-site and mentor junior service technicians.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise:
Strong grounding in hydraulic principles, circuits and system design logic.
Component Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with variable displacement pumps, proportional/servo valves, logic elements, accumulators, and manifold blocks.
Circuit Diagnostics: Advanced ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize high-pressure hydraulic circuits.
Electromechanical Integration: Working understanding of sensors (pressure, flow, and position), switches, and PLC-controlled hydraulic interfaces.
Safety & Compliance: Thorough understanding of industrial hydraulic safety protocols and fluid cleanliness standards (ISO 4406).
Preferred Background:
Proven track record in servicing industrial and mobile hydraulic systems across sectors such as heavy engineering, automation, defense, or steel manufacturing.
Direct experience with integrated manifold blocks and custom HPU builds.
Hands-on capability in system optimization and energy efficiency tuning during service overhauls.
Educational Qualification:
Degree / Diploma: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Fluid Power Engineering.
