Position: Fractional HR Partner (India Operations)
Engagement Type: Part time / Retainer (Approx. 25–30 hours/month)
Compensation: INR 40,000 per month

CircleRight is an India-based specialized advisory and operational support firm partnering with global enterprises expanding into the region. We provide structured fractional management, workflow governance, and compliance solutions that bridge local execution with global corporate standards. CircleRight is seeking a qualified, India-based fractional HR professional or partner to provide part-time, hands-on HR administration, employee support, and statutory compliance coordination for an assigned client.
The client is a multinational direct-selling and wellness enterprise developing and distributing personal care and lifestyle products across approximately 50 international markets, currently scaling its regional presence in India by transitioning a local workforce of approximately 17 employees into direct employment structures. The selected professional will serve as the primary local HR point of contact, seamlessly bridging local operations with corporate and global teams (Corporate HR, Global Payroll, Global Benefits, Legal, Finance, and Total Rewards).
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Services
- HR Compliance & Employment Law
- Ensure ongoing alignment and compliance with applicable Indian labor and employment regulations.
- Coordinate local statutory requirements, including Shops and Establishments compliance.
- Maintain required statutory registers, employment records, and audit readiness.
- Guide leadership on local routine HR matters and coordinate with internal legal teams and approved employment counsel when needed.

Payroll
Administration
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing with the Global Payroll team and external payroll providers (such as ADP).
- Track and validate time, attendance, leave, overtime, and manager approvals prior to submission.
- Review payroll outcomes, statutory deductions (PF, ESI, Professional Tax), and resolve employee payroll discrepancies.

Benefits & Onboarding/Offboarding Administration
- Coordinate local medical insurance, benefit enrollments, and statutory leave policies alongside global benefits functions.
- Manage end-to-end onboarding, including background checks, employment documentation, IT access coordination, and orientation.
- Manage exit formalities, final payroll inputs, asset recovery, and formal exit interviews.
- HR Operations & HCM Systems
- Maintain accurate employee lifecycle records and process transactions within Workday or a comparable global HCM system.
- Generate routine reports, maintain organizational charts, and support internal HR data audits.
- Vendor & Global HR Partnership
- Manage routine touchpoints with local external partners (payroll vendors, benefits brokers, background-check providers).
- Execute global HR initiatives locally and provide a brief monthly activity summary detailing completed work, open actions, and potential risks.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of professional HR experience, including hands-on HR support in India supporting multinational or global matrixed employers.
- Working knowledge of Indian employment laws, statutory benefits, and outsourced payroll operations (ADP experience preferred).
- Practical familiarity with Workday or a comparable global HCM system.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with proven capability to coordinate effectively with U.S.-based global teams.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and operate independently within defined governance limits.
